President Obama's Upskill Initiative

Technology moderator, David Rosen, shared the following information on President Obama's Upskill Initiative.  Last Friday, the White House hosted Upskill Summit, with 150 employers, labor leaders, foundations, non-profits, educators, tech innovators, and corporations.   These groups were invited to the White House based on their having made commitments to upskilling America's workforce.  You can read the fact sheet about this at https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2015/04/24/fact-sheet-administration-announces-new-commitments-support-president-ob, the April 2015 White House Report at https://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/docs/150423_upskill_report_final_3.pdf, and the list of what the companies and labor unions have committed to at https://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/docs/upskill_commitment_summaries_final.pdf

This summit continues the conversation started by the U.S. Department of Education, with its release of the report, Making Skills Everyone's Business
