Hello colleagues, Here's an activity teachers can easily implement just about any time, including when energy in a class is starting to wane. Check out this short video clip demonstrating The Stand Up Game. This technique seems especially useful in adult education classrooms since so many learners come to class in the evening after working all day or in the morning after working all night.
Can you imagine implementing The Stand Up Game? I sure can. The teacher in the video, Sarah Brown Wessling, suggests that this is a great tip to pass along to new teachers. I would say it's a great tip for all of us. I'm interested in how the teacher makes this a low-stakes activity. What are your thoughts about that?
