Reflection on Experiences

After completing intro Workforce Preparation and Employability Skills, I am excited to follow the TIF Skills Categories and the Employability Competencies to keep me on a schedule of instruction.  I have found that what I was teaching and how I was teaching prior to the class was getting the job done and it can be done better with the frameworks and guides I have learned.  Everything can be linked to these competencies.  I think the discussions in class will be richer and the learning and self reflection will be deeper.

Hi, Nancy -

Thanks for sharing your experience with the Workforce Preparation and Employability Skills.  I like how your belief that using the TIF Skills Categories and Employability Competencies can help you create richer discussions and deeper self reflection in your classes.  Sometimes we see these frameworks as boxes we need to fit our programs into, but if we can look at them as opportunities to engage in discussion and reflection, it makes it a much more valuable experience.

I hope you keep this great perspective on using these frameworks to build meaningful engagement.

Best,
