Scaffolding instruction to address the standards

Hello colleagues, Among the best materials I have found online to address the standards comes from Stanford University's Understanding Language site. At this site, you will find detailed lesson plans that carefully scaffold instruction to support students in achieving the standards. Some of these lessons are also featured on the Teaching Channel. For example, you will find a video with excerpts from a classroom as well as comments by experts Aida Walqui and George Bunch discuss how the unit on "Persuasion Across Time and Space" is appropriately scaffolded to support student learning.

These materials are designed for K12, in this case for grades 6-8. Please take a look and let us know what you think about the possibility of using these resources in an adult education context.
