Smart Phones and Blended Learning

David and group members, Smart Phones have become more and more popular and should be considered an important tool in adult education.

I use the phone to remind people about my ESL classes, and I often send students “homework”, songs from YouTube, useful websites, etc. WhatsApp is very useful, but some people are not able to download it due to lack of space, so I use Text Messenger too.

I also use it in class, to play a song or to ask a student to look up a word in Google Traslate.

Just about everybody has a Smart Phone, no matter what their income. But not everybody has a computer. The phone then is a good way to introduce the working adult to learning online so that eventually everyone can benefit from technology as a learning tool.

Also, the use of a smart phone turns every class into a Blended class.
