Speical Discussion on Networks for Integrating New Americans Next Week!

Hello colleagues, We are delighted to be offering a first of its kind discussion through LINCS focused specifically on the importance and benefits of a network of organizations in a local community working collaboratively to support the linguistic, economic and civic integration of immigrants and refugees.

We will learn about OCTAE's Networks for Integrating New Americans initiative, and hear from Madeleine Taylor, a well-known expert on networking, as well as adult education practitioners from three of the communities who have been involved in the network project since last spring.

The discussion will take place in the Adult English Language Learners and Project Management CoPs. Members are invited to share their own experiences with networks and to pose questions for our guests, both before and, of course, during next week's discussion.

This is a unique and fascinating topic, and I'm certain we are all going to learn a great deal!

Cheers, Susan Finn Miller
