Streamlining FAFSA -- weighing in

Dear Colleagues:

A recent newsletter from CLASP outlines significant changes in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) that could help many of our students.  The draft, proposed by the U.S. Department of Education, is out for review so please consider weighing in.  It includes (among other things) the addition of an applicant’s receipt of Medicaid as a qualification for the Simplified Needs Test.

To submit comments, see the Federal Register online at Docket No:  Ed-2016-ICCD-0036.

To read more about the changes from CLASP, go to their Center for Postsecondary and Economic Success.

If you are interested in developing comments, please respond to this post or email me directly.
