I'm wondering if anyone here in the group knows of undergraduate classes in adult literacy. I know that Texas A&M has an undergraduate class in adult education and literacy within its Training & Development concentration. NYU has an undergraduate class entitled Literacy in Action.

In 2012, the Commission on Adult Basic Education (COABE) developed the Adult Education Degree and Credentialing Programs Portal:
http://www.coabe.org/portal/
It contains over 400 programs that offer degrees and/or credentials in adult education. Some universities have several programs and they only vary slightly, for example, by campus location, delivery type (face-to-face only, online, hybrid), and so forth. I invite you to check it out and if you have questions, feel free to contact me direct: jackie@jataylor.net .
As COABE president I can tell you that COABE plans to update this database this fall so if anyone has recommendations or programs to add, please let me know.
