Adult and Continuing Education:
Options and Resources to Promote Inclusive Career Pathways and Employment Outcomes

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2018  3:00 - 4:30 pm ET

All Career Pathways partners should be aware of the substantial resources and collaboration opportunities that exist in their regions with career, technical and adult education programs. Join this interactive webinar to learn about the LINCS website and resources, funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE). This professional learning space brings together adult educators and partners into a professional learning space to collaborate, network, share knowledge and resources, and grow professionally.

LINCS hosts 11 learning communities/discussion groups, two of which will be highlighted in this webinar: one on Career Pathways and the other on Disability and Equitable Outcomes. Hear about the Career Pathways resources, training and activities, instructional and programmatic best practices, policies, and issues in providing career pathways services. Career Pathways Communities focus on coordination between systems and services, workforce preparation activities, and more. The Disability and Equitable Outcomes community focuses on needs, concerns and promising practices related to serving learners with disabilities in adult education. This Community also has a micro-group on Advancing Equity in Career and Technical Education.

These two communities are moderated by Michael Cruse, who will be joining our Community of Practice to talk about the communities and the resources available from OCTAE. We also will feature a practitioner who uses the OCTAE LINCS platform and is collaborating with Career Pathways partners to effectively include people with disabilities.

The webinar will take place on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. ET.
