OCTAE is providing a series of informational sessions for state adult education directors to facilitate their understanding  of the new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and provide information on implementation and  transitions to the new law.  On July 22, 2014, the President signed into law the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which revises and reforms the primary federal programs that support employment services, workforce development, adult education, and vocational rehabilitation activities. Cheryl Keenan, director of the Division of Adult Education and Literacy within the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education, provides an overview of WIOA in the first informational session.  Click this link to access the video:
