Hello colleagues, Have you and learners in your class used Quizlet to study vocabulary? If so, please tell us how you are using this site. Do you create vocabulary lists? Do students create their own lists? How do you determine which words to include in your lists? Do you use ready-made lists on the site? Do you use the Quizlet live feature, which engages the class in real time, competitive vocabulary games? If so, how has that worked for you?
Are there other sites you and the learners in your class have found useful for learning vocabulary?
I came across this article by Bridget Dalton and Dana Grisham, "10 Ways to Use Technology to Build Vocabulary," which targets K12 teachers, but is adaptable to our context. Although the article is a few years old, some of the sites still seem viable. I'd love to hear what teachers and learners have found especially effective for vocabulary study online.
