Welcome David Rosen as Program Management Moderator

Hello all,

As many of you know, the facilitation of groups in the LINCS Community is transitioning from a subject matter expert (SME) model to a moderator-facilitated model in order to build on participating, sharing, and networking within the LINCS groups.  I am pleased to announce that David Rosen will serve as the moderator for the Program Management group.  David has been an active member in many of the LINCS Community groups and will also serve as the moderator in the Technology and Learning group.  For over a decade David was the Executive Director of the Adult Literacy Resource Institute at the University of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts SABES Regional Support Center for adult basic education programs in the greater Boston area. Since 2003 he has been an independent consultant providing professional development and training, research and evaluation, curriculum development, and technology integration advice for adult basic education and out of school youth education and workforce development programs in the U.S. Canada, the Caribbean, West and Southern Africa, South and South Central Asia.

I will continue to be a member in the Program Management group and look forward to participating and learning as a member and a subject matter expert as needed.  I very much appreciate the opportunity to have served as a SME in this group and look forward to seeing the evolution of the group in this new structure.  The Program Management group in the LINCS community is the first LINCS group to be dedicated to Program Management, a critical area in adult education.  Many of the topics that have been discussed during the past couple of years included partnerships, data-driven decision making, evaluation, benchmarking, coaching/mentoring, program models, adult learner motivation, program improvement, and others.  It has been exciting to see the steady increase in group membership since the groups were initially implemented in 2012.  We now have a member base of 935 practitioners in the Program Management Group!

Please join me in welcoming David Rosen as the moderator for this group and I look forward to seeing you all on line!
