Have you seen the What’s In and What’s Out chart? It lists the English Language Arts instructional shifts and is authored by Susan Pimentel. Ms. Pimentel was one of the lead writers of the Common Core State Standards and the author of the College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education. You can view it here with her PowerPoint.
