Join Patricia Helmuth, a New York State Education Department Teacher Leader in Mathematics and a staff developer for the Hudson Valley Regional Adult Education Network, for an online discussion of how an adult education instructor can modify high-cognitive demand math tasks to engage a classroom of students at varied math levels. The activity will guide participants in discovering what adult learners already know about math and how to take them to a higher level and new understanding of mathematics.
