Virginia DOE Training: Train-the-Trainer Economic Empowerment Citizen Seminars

This free professional development program for adult educators and workforce development trainers will demonstrate the lessons contained in a customizable 6-hour Citizen Seminar curriculum for low socioeconomic and low educational attainment adults to learn basic economics, personal finance, and entrepreneurship knowledge and skills required to make better economic decisions – that is, attain economic empowerment. The highly flexible, interdisciplinary curriculum weaves basic economic concepts and skills throughout the personal finance and entrepreneurship content for more informed and empowered decision-making. Breakfast, lunch, classroom-ready curriculum, and certificate of completion (7 hours) included.
