June 13, 2018 Deadline: Title VI Centers for International Business Education (CIBE) Program

The International and Foreign Language Education (IFLE) office in the Office of Postsecondary Education, U.S. Department of Education has opened the competition for the fiscal year 2018 Title VI Centers for International Business Education (CIBE) program. The CIBE program provides funding to U.S. institutions of higher education for curriculum development, research, and training on issues of importance to U.S. trade and competitiveness. Funded centers provide instruction in critical foreign languages and international fields to improve understanding of the cultures of countries that trade with the United States.

Applicants may access the FY 2018 CIBE application package on May 14, 2018, at www.grants.gov. The deadline for submitting applications is June 13, 2018. 

IFLE expects to make 16 new awards totaling $4,571,400 under the FY 2018 CIBE competition.
