As a follow-up to this week's popular webinar on support programs for male students of color, here is information on a program to support first-generation male students at Chesapeake College.

An article about the program can be found here: http://www.aacc21stcenturycenter.org/article/focus-for-first-generation-students/

From the program's website:

F.O.C.U.S. Group (First-Generation student Opportunity for Career and Ultimate Success) is designed for first-time male students who are the first in their immediate family to attend a college or university and are enrolled in a career program. The program provides these students with intense exposure to academic support and career exploration activities during the first year in college.

Do you know of other programs addressing the needs of male students of color, at your or other colleges? Please share information with the group!
