Register and Attend! Start Your Day Right: Build District Capacity to STOP Racial Harassment and Bullying

 

Racial harassment is on the rise in America’s public schools.

 

WHAT can you do? The Center for Education Equity @ MAEC is partnering with the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights in Philadelphia to host an Equity Breakfast Institute to help schools prevent and respond to racial harassment and bullying. The event will feature Dr. Richard Milner, IV, author of Rac(e)ing to Class: Confronting Poverty and Race in Schools and Classrooms.

WHO is invited? District and school-based teams of 3-5 members, including discipline/compliance officers, directors of student services, diversity/equity staff leaders, principal/assistant principals, counselors, and parents/guardians.

WHEN is it? Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 8:30 am-1:00 pm
