Slides from the April MSI Webinar: Improving Success for Male Students of Color

This webinar took a close look at two longstanding programs for improving the success of male students of color. Dr. Emmet Campos and Mr. Art Barboza will show how their innovative programs build a collective community of support and foster a culture of success among male students of color. Dr. Campos directs Mentoring to Achieve Latino Educational Success (known as Project MALES) and the Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color (known as TECMSC) through the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Barboza is the founder and coordinator of the Striving Black Brothers Coalition at Chabot College. The webinar offered participants an overview of the these two programs and strategies to try and share with colleagues at their home institutions.
