USCIS and Institute of Museum and Library Services Webinar: Celebrating USCIS Naturalization Ceremonies
Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024
1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Eastern
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services invites museum and library employees to participate in a webinar on the following date:
Thursday, Dec. 12, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Eastern
During this webinar, the National Park Service will share highlights of historic and recent naturalization ceremonies and provide best practices for how local museums and libraries can partner with USCIS to host naturalization ceremonies. The USCIS History Office and Library will also provide a history of naturalization ceremonies and background on select USCIS special ceremonies and partnerships. We will conclude with a question-and-answer session.
The naturalization ceremony is the culmination of the naturalization process for immigrants who have taken the steps to become U.S. citizens. USCIS aims to make naturalization ceremonies a meaningful experience for new American citizens, and an occasion to recognize the rights, responsibilities, and importance of citizenship. Learn more about naturalization ceremonies at our Citizenship Resource Center.
We are holding this webinar as part of our partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services to provide citizenship and immigration information to museum and library professionals.
