CALPRO RESEARCH FORUM WEBINAR: WE THE PEOPLE: ADULT LEARNERS’ CRITICAL DEMOCRATIC LITERACY
Critical Democratic Literacy (CDL) plays a pivotal role in empowering students to become engaged and informed citizens, enabling them to challenge influential institutions, question unfair policies, and critically evaluate outdated traditions. Individuals equipped with CDL understand political and civic systems, allowing them to navigate these systems effectively and contribute meaningfully to the improvement of their communities.
CALPRO has developed a new Community of Practice on developing adult learners' CDL, and it is designed to support educators in amplifying student voices and managing contemporary challenges. Join this webinar to find out more on the topic and hear from adult education practitioners who have implemented participatory approaches to democratic engagement in their classrooms and programs.
