Fall Conference on September 26–28, 2016

Georgia’s Office of Adult Education is accepting proposals for its Adult Education Fall Conference, along with other professional development events planned for fiscal year 2017 (July 1, 2016-June 30, 2017). The University of Georgia provides support to the Office of Adult Education by collecting proposals for conference sessions and helping to plan the conference, among other tasks.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please do so at the address below and provide details describing the session. Please submit proposals no later than Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

Adult Education Fall Conference presenters will receive a flat consultant fee of $1000.00 and reimbursement for travel, lodging, and meals in accordance to State of Georgia travel regulations. A conference session should be designed to serve approximately fifty participants and last between two to three hours in length. The exact session duration will be available once the conference schedule offerings are finalized. Presenters are expected to deliver their sessions twice during the conference. Georgia adult education grantees and publishers are not eligible to receive the consultant fee.

Presenters accepted for this year’s conference will be notified no later than Friday, July 1, 2016 along with any who were not selected. If proposal submissions are being considered for other professional development opportunities outside of the fall conference, notifications of such will be sent by the same date for planning purposes.
