Susan, I think it is great that there will be a group on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

I want to strongly recommend that one focus should be on immigrant mothers. Another focus should be on incorporating L1 in classes for beginners. Attention to these two areas would, in my opinon, greatly increase the attendance in adult ESL classes.
