In fact, Native American Heritage Month, and some teachers will likey want to plan instruction around this essential aspect of American culture and history. You'll find many engaging civics lesson plans and a wide collection of instructional resources at EDSITEment.
Some of the topics include:
- Corn as a Symbol in Hopi Song and Dance
- Native American Cultures Across the US
- Traditions and Languages of Three Native Cultures: Tlingit, Lakota, & Cherokee
