Susan and group members, I have been using Facebook and WhatsApp to teach remotely for more than 5 years. Usually I post texts, videos and lessons from my website, pumarosa. These are "short and quick", and the students like them. And a lot of teachers use them.
I strongly recommend using lessons online as homework to accompany "live" or Zoom lessons. There is strong evidence to indicate that students actually enjoy them and also....learn faster.
Anyway, here is an example of a "test" to help people learn grammar, especially verb tenses.

Hello Paul and colleagues, I, too, am a huge advocate of offering additional work for learners to complete on their own time outside of class. Thanks for sharing your homework example here, Paul.
I'd love to hear what other teachers are using to encourage students to continue learning outside of class. Colleagues, thanks for sharing what type of homework assignments have been effective in your practice.
Cheers, Susan Finn Miller
