Steps to improve writing

Hello colleagues, In my view, there are three steps to improve one's writing: 1) revise, 2) revise, 3) revise. Here's a link to a blog post by Ruth Culham, "Rethinking Revision: The Real Work of Writing," on the importance of revising to the writing process. Culham calls revising "the Mount Everest of writing." Given that students often resist what they perceive as a huge effort, Culham argues that teachers need to sell learners on the value of revising.

Since the focus of this article is K-12, what are your thoughts about applying these tips with adult English learners?
