The Adult Literacy Education Wiki

Colleagues,

In November the Adult Literacy Education (ALE) Wiki will be eight years old. Except for generous web hosting support from the New Jersey Association for Lifelong Learning, it is an unsponsored, volunteer project. The ALE Wiki has over 1600 content pages, over 1800 registered users and many, many other readers who do not register. Among the over 30 topics those which have each had between 23,000 and 46,000 page views include: Health Literacy, Adult Literacy Professional Development, Corrections Education, Standards, StatePD, Assessment Information and Technology.

Please visit the ALE Wiki main page at http://wiki.literacytent.org

• If you are listed in the ALE Wiki’s Who’s Here section, at http://wiki.literacytent.org/index.php/WhosHere , please check to be sure your listing is accurate and up to date.

• If you haven’t yet, consider registering  (free log-in link at the upper right of the main page).

• If you would like to contribute to an ALE Wiki page, go ahead. You’ll find directions and help at http://wiki.literacytent.org/index.php/Directions or at the bottom of some pages.

• If you would like to be a topic area leader, please email me.

Please feel free to circulate this announcement to other colleagues. If you post it to a another discussion list or publish it in a newsletter I would appreciate your letting me know.  Thanks.
