How is Your Program Adapting to the "New Normal"?

Educators have adapted well to online instruction in the last year, but a lot of programs are now challenged with adapting to the "new normal". Though many teachers would like to go back to the way things were pre-pandemic, I think we all know that is not going to happen. The good news is there are options! Programs can still offer face-to-face, hybrid, asynchronous, or blended learning class options, or they could implement a Blendflex or Hyflex model, which provides students with the choice of attending a synchronous class face-to-face or online; thus, offering learners  a more flexible opportunity to attend their classes. David Rosen posted a discussion about this a few months ago, and I am interested in learning more about what your experiences or thoughts are on this topic!

  • Do you think the Blendflex and Hyflex models would be effective in your adult education classrooms?
  • What model(s) is your program using this year?
