Hello Integrating Technology colleagues,
The World Education EdTech Center has just published a new HyFlex Guide for adult education, especially for adult foundational education (a new term for our field in the U.S. whose name was created with help from colleagues in a LINCS discussion and is defined here.) The guide was written by me, Destiny Simpson and Jen Vanek. It is free and downloadable.
If you are already a fan of hybrid instruction models, especially blended hybrid models, HyFlex (Hybrid-Flexible) models may be of particular interest. The guide includes vignettes based on interviews with adult foundational education teachers, administrators and professional developers, and includes links to several short videos of HyFlex in action at an adult ESL program in Arizona.
If you have questions about HyFlex models, there's a good chance that the guide addresses them, but additional questions, comments, and suggestions would also be welcome here in the Integrating Technology group.
