Is Doing Less Actually Better During a Crisis?

Colleagues,

I want to draw your attention to the following article: 'Panic-gogy': Teaching Online Classes During The Coronavirus Pandemic. From the article, "Panicgogy means understanding students' practicalities. Some only have smartphones. Some have family responsibilities. Some have been sent home and need to find a new place to live, new job, and new health insurance."

But what does this mean for us as professional development providers as we attempt to rapidly pivot to an entirely new way to support instructors? While we have been delivering PD via distance learning for a while, this rapid shift is difficult to maintain. Does the idea of simplicity work now? Where are your challenges?

I'd love to hear what your doing.
