The Hand Model of the Brain - how can it help us in the classroom?

Are you familiar with Dr. Segal's Hand Model of the Brain? It's a fascinating approach to teach awareness of what is happening in the brain. This awarensess allows communicate with individuals and guide them back to a connected state when they've ' flipped their lid".
