Colleagues,
This meme came across my feed and it made me think about how it is humorous to dislike math. I'd like to open a discussion on the following:
- How do memes reinforce people's fear of math?
- And should math teachers chime in when posts like this appear on social media?

Oh, this is worth bringing up again ;)
I try to chime in with understanding and humor... depending on the other comments and my current frame of mind it could be "don't let 'em scare you away from it! Who is it that is afraid you might be good at it?" ... or ... "we need better ways of doing this, so this is just silly funny, not 'i have to laugh to keep from crying' funny."
