ALM/ANN Virtual Seminar: Exploring Challenges Using Adult Numeracy Curriculum
Adults Learning Mathematics (ALM) and the Adult Numeracy Network (ANN) are excited to announce our first joint online seminar, Exploring Challenges Using Adult Numeracy Curriculum, which will be held on December 15, 2022. In this session, Heidi Schuler-Jones, ANN president, will share her perspective as a curriculum writer and trainer presented with the challenges teachers have identified with using a structured math curriculum in education systems that have many different demands on teachers and learners. We will then consider questions of curriculum adoption, the realities of the field, and possible solutions.
The session will include a variety of ways to contribute, including small group discussions, a Padlet for written ideas, and an opportunity to share with the whole group. The session will offer a chance for attendees, including practitioners and researchers from several countries, to exchange ideas.
