On September 18 at 1PM (ET), join How Adult Basic Skills Programs Can Build – and Obtain Funding for – Local Partnerships, a webinar with the LINCS Community Health Literacy micro group to help adult learners improve their health literacy. States and private foundations throughout the country (e.g., Florida, Illinois, New York, and Massachusetts) have helped adult basic skills programs (including ESL/ESOL) partner with community health centers and hospitals to support health literacy and other health-related learning.
The webinar will feature experienced professionals who will discuss why and how their partnerships were created and funded and, following the webinar, will engage in a multiday discussion in LINCS Community groups (Health Literacy, Program Management, English Language Acquisition, and Reading and Writing) to explore how adult basic skills programs can develop successful local partnerships that will help adult learners improve their health literacy.
