A YouTube video containing a conversation between Education Secretary Miguel Cardona and Labor Secretary Marty Walsh was just released. This dialogue occurred during the National Association of State Directors of Adult Education 2021 National Training Institute.
Both leaders praised the Biden administration's Build Back Better legislation and the opportunities it will provide adult education. If passed, the bill would devote 40 billion dollars to education and the workforce in hopes of rebuilding the middle class from the bottom up and middle out. Initiatives include more funds for child care, Job Corps expansion, and Pell Grant increases.
