Study Circle on Writing

The LINCS Region 1 Professional Development Center is hosting a Study Circle on Writing. We are looking for a few more people to join the study circle. If you are interested and committed to completing the activities, please feel free to register.

This three part study circle will give participants an active role in delving into, making sense of, and using the research on writing as reported by the National Academies of Science in their publication Improving Adult Literacy Instruction: Developing Reading and Writing, .

Participants will be engaged in reading and discussion, and will implement a new writing activity in their classroom. There will be readings to be completed between each of the sessions. Participants will interact via webinars and an online discussion forum.

The webinars will be held the following dates and times:

·         Session 1: February 26, 2015, from 3:00–4:30 PM Eastern

·         Session 3: March 12, 2015, from 3:00–4:30 PM Eastern
