EdTech Maker Spaces are collaborative events where adult educators work together to create re-usable open education resources. During this collaborative service-learning opportunity, participants will work together with educators across the country to create standards-aligned reading activities using digital tools that will be added to SkillBlox and incorporated into the development of an alternative assessment for adult learners!
Learn to create digital graphic organizers to teach reading skills! We'll explore awesome tools like Flippity, design principles for creating slides and other worksheets, and a library of ready-to-use templates.
Over the course of three workshops and some asynchronous work, you'll learn new skills, engage with educators from across the country and, most importantly, be part of developing a library of resources that support adult learners in building literacy skills.
Maker Meetings will be held on Zoom from 1:00 - 3:00 pm Eastern Time on the following dates:
- November 1, 2024
- November 15, 2024
- December 6, 2024
