September 13 Event on Project Based Learning

Hi Everyone,

“The world has changed dramatically over the last generation – even over the last 10 years. Our lives have become more connected through technology, a global economy, and social media. Our awareness of the complexity of the challenges we face as human beings – from climate change to issues of conflict and food distribution – has grown substantially.

"The world of work is changing rapidly, too. More and more tasks are being automated – from manufacturing to driving to writing data-based reports. Furthermore, collaboration has become the norm; most people in Information Age companies work in and across teams. Finally, it has become a project-based world.”

Bob Lenz, Executive Director of the Buck Institute for Education (Boss & Larmer, 2018)

I am excited to announce that our group will be partnering with the English Language Acquisition Group on Tuesday, September 13 at 3:30 PM ET in an event titled, "Project-based Learning in ABE and ESL." This live event requires registration which can be done HERE. The announcement is below:

"Projects that integrate technology are a powerful way to give ABE and English learners real-world work preparation. Students can build their knowledge of many topics while developing oral and written communication skills. Carefully-planned projects address standards, support the development of critical soft skills, and give learners a sense of empowerment, not to mention tech skills! Attendees learn about projects they can use right away in their class."

What questions do you have about project based learning?

See you on September 13th,
