I’m so grateful it’s Thanksgiving week!
I write at least 5 things I’m thankful for as I start to journal each day. This positively shapes my mindset for the new day.
I spent time earlier this year teaching conversational English in the Middle East. One conversational prompt I used was to share a favorite childhood memory. One student responded, “I grew up in a refugee camp. I have no favorite memories from my childhood.”
Despite whatever challenges we face, we have so much to be grateful for!
Today, I’m grateful for the mentors who have shaped my work in adult education like Dr. Ann Parkinson and Dr. Gerald Parker.
I’m thankful for the work I am blessed to do in adult education like working for LINCS, COABE, and for states around the country.
I look forward to what this next year will bring, doing work that makes a difference in the lives of so many people.
What are you grateful for today?
With thanksgiving,
