Cold Moon 2020 - Dec. 30, 2020

Hello all,

I know many of us are on our holiday break from teaching but tonight is the "Cold Moon."  It is a Mohawk Indians name that refers to the frigid temperatures and the time of year.  It has also been referred to as the Long Night Moon because it happens so close to the Winter Solstice when the nights are longer than the days.  This moon will be 100% illuminated as seen from Earth.  So get out and look at this big bright moon, post with what do you notice and what do you wonder about this Cold Moon.

Bundle up, and stay warm,

Brooke
