December was again a busy month for members taking courses through the LINCS Learning Portal. Members contributed to discussions in the Developing Effective Bridge Programs; Integrating Career Counseling and Planning into Adult Education; and Introduction to Workforce Preparation Activities and Employability Skills courses.

We concluded the year with a discussion on Workforce Development Policy for Adult Educators, with Tom Keily. Tom shared the paper, Postsecondary Workforce Development Policy: What is the Issue and Why Does it Matter?, which looks at four areas where states have introduced and enacted legislation that built greater connections between education and workforce development, in 2019.
