Looking for effective employment strategies to address the needs of low-income adults?

Looking for effective employment strategies to address the needs of low-income adults?  There is a resource for that.  Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Employment Strategies for Low-Income Adults Evidence Review (ESER) website offers literature reviews on the effectiveness of employment and training programs for low-income adults. Specifically, reviews are looking at the evidence presented for the effectiveness of a program, and how likely it was that a study’s anticipated program impacts were caused by the program, and not by external factors.

The ESER website also allows users to search for results by program studied, target population, and other demographic information.  Users are able to explore top searches of evidence reviews, or design their own. They can see what research says about programs that offer work readiness activities, financial incentives, and support services, or look at evidence supporting ways to improve both short and long-term earnings, as well as long-term employment goals.
