A National Imperative: the Role of Business in Promoting Educational Attainment

The Committee for Economic Development (CED) has published a research report, “A National Imperative: the Role of Business in Promoting Educational Attainment,” examining how employers in several metropolitan areas are supporting employees to continue their postsecondary training and education.

The report's findings are based on focus groups with representatives from small, family-owned firms and global Fortune 500 companies, which can be accessed, along with supplementary briefs, and a "Closing the Skill Gap" summary infographic These resources were produced as part of Lumina Foundation’s “Goal 2025”, which seeks to increase the number of Americans earning degrees, certificates, and other credentials to 60% by 2025.
