Intensive Skill and College Readiness Programs at Community Colleges will be a discussion, starting Nov. 7th and ending Nov. 11th. Drawing from the work of the ED funded Supporting Student Success project, it will highlight two postsecondary programs which are providing opportunities in skill development, college and work readiness competency development, and career guidance.
Two models which will be described include St. Louis Community College’s Academic Academy and the Academic Bootcamp at Gateway Community College. The goal will be to help generate discussion on student engagement experiences which help students become more prepared for college and increase retention.
