During the last few months, we had quite a few new people join the Career Pathways Community. If you are a new member, please introduce yourself and tell the group what you are hoping to learn more about or share something exciting that is happening in your state as it relates to adult education and career pathways.
If you have been in the community for awhile, what is a LINCS resource, course, or discussion post you think a new member should check out?
Hello everyone! My name is Julia Stout and I am a brand new Career Navigator based out of Traverse City, MI! Since I am new to this profession and field, I hope to use this platform as a means of training and professional development. Our Adult Education Program serves Northwest Michigan's 10-county region, and our classrooms are based out of various MI Works centers. This Career Navigator position is a brand new position within our organization, so we're currently in the process of building it from the ground-up. My role will be to provide career navigation services and barrier removal assistance to all students in our program.
Welcome, Julia. I'm excited to hear you are a new career navigator. I started this discussion post around career navigators and hope you and others will be able to share information in the LINCS Community.
