WIOA: Dislocated Worker Programs Outlined

The WIOA Desk Reference - Dislocated Worker Programs provides information on services available to Dislocated Workers under WIOA. WIOA programs provide significant resources to states to implement workforce education, training, and employment programs and help displaced workers through a national network of American Job Centers (AJCs).

The Dislocated Worker program is designed to help workers get back to work and overcome barriers to employment.  Millions of individuals have become dislocated workers in 2020. While some dislocated workers are called back to their jobs or are able to independently find new employment, others need assistance in finding or preparing for new jobs. These WIOA programs provide significant resources to states to implement workforce education, training, and employment programs and help displaced workers.

Check out these references and share your (agencies') experiences supporting dislocated workers.  What have been your successes in 2020?  What are you plans for 2021?
