Comment on WIOA Common Performance Reporting

Program Management Colleagues,

As you may be aware, the U.S. Departments of Labor and Education have published a 30-day notice that allows you to comment on WIOA Common Performance Reporting. Comments are due by May 26, 2016. They may be submitted to: OIRA_submission@omb.eop.gov. You are encouraged to comment, and can read more about this here.

From the Federal Register 4/26/2016 Notice on this:

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is also particularly interested in comments that:

  • Evaluate whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information will have practical utility;
  • Evaluate the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information, including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used;
  • Enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and
  • Minimize the burden of the collection of information on those who are to respond, including through the use of appropriate automated, electronic, mechanical, or other technological collection techniques or other forms of information technology, e.g., permitting electronic submission of responses.

Comments

Colleagues,

Although this is not the right place to archive WIOA Common Performance Reporting Comments, I thought it might interest some of you to see an example of a comment, in this case from the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP) http://www.clasp.org/issues/postsecondary/in-focus/career-pathways-a-step-forward-and-a-potential-step-back .

I wonder if anyone knows if comments are archived in a public place so that those who are interested might read them.
