New Announcement - Register Now: Career Pathways for Public Housing Residents Webinar created by LINCS_Communications

On Tuesday, June 17th from 3:00 – 4:15 p.m. ET, the LINCS Community, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), will host a new webinar on Career Pathways for Public Housing Residents. Learn about how HUD’s Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) and Resident Opportunity Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) programs can help residents access education, job training, and employment opportunities to promote self-sufficiency through the attainment of the skills needed to obtain and sustain employment. HUD encourages its FSS and ROSS grantees to work with a wide variety of organizations, including adult education providers and community colleges in order to coordinate referrals and leverage resources.

This webinar will share information on:

  • Services available to adults through FSS and ROSS-funded programs;
  • Who to contact in your local community to learn more about the FSS and ROSS programs;
  • Target agencies for developing partnerships/collaborations;
  • Ways your adult education program can get involved; and
  • Related career pathways and adult education LINCS professional development resources.

LINCS Community Subject Matter Experts Donna Brian and Gail Cope will host a follow-up discussion to this webinar in both the Career Pathways and Program Management groups.

This webinar is open to all HUD and adult education practitioners in the field who are interested in learning more about the work and resources available through each agency. Register here! Space is limited to the first 100 registrants. This event will be recorded and archived.
