A webinar, Program Models and Resources for Serving English Language Learners, will be held tomorrow, January 30 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Eastern time. A description and link for registering are included in the announcement below. (This was cross-posted in the Adult English Language Learners group last month.)
Friday, January 30th, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM EST
This webinar will explore major shifts for the field of ESOL and adult education named in the WIOA legislation: 1) the need to prepare English Language Learners for unsubsidized employment in in-demand industries and occupations that lead to economic self-sufficiency; 2) focus on integrating instruction and other services with the local workforce development system. This webinar will be a practitioner-led dialogue designed for you to consider what these shifts mean for program design and classroom practice.
