Privacy in Public Spaces

Colleagues, 

Recently, the mayor of Colorado, Texas caused significant backlash because of a social media post related to the current energy crisis in his home state which resulted in his resigning from public service. While this is an extreme example, it opens an avenue to prepare So, I wanted to open a discussion about the intersection of our private world and our professional world. 

Social media has expanded our personal networks and as community leaders, do we have a right to privacy in this space? Should our professional lives be shaped by what we chose to share in our personal networks?
